Vintage Porcelain Tea Strainer- Very Pretty Floral Motif!
Vintage Porcelain Tea Strainer- Very Pretty Floral Motif!
We here at the Cottage take Tea Time very seriously- however we are not stodgy, we use mismatched china tea cups and saucers, snarky teaspoons (see our snarky teaspoons in our home section) and whatever pretty (and mismatched) accessories we want! Spotted this whilst out thrifting, and it was clearly too pretty to leave behind! This tea strainer is used when you've brewed a pot of tea with loose leaves, pop this over your tea cup and pour- this will catch any stray tea matter and leave you with a pristine cup of tea!
No Maker's Mark... If I were to guess the age of this, I would say around the turn of the century/victorian era up to the 1920's perhaps. Measurements: approx 6" long x 4" wide. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Looks to be hand painted.
